Why I Switched to ActiveCampaign from Mailchimp

As I’ve addressed in a previous blog post, your email list is one of the most powerful marketing tools at your disposal. Unlike social media, where you don’t own your followers and rely on algorithms to serve up your content, your email list belongs to you and allows you to directly communicate with your subscribers.

 

For the past seven years, I’ve used utilized Mailchimp for our email marketing. It’s easy to use, highly customizable and free for lists with less than 2,000 subscribers. By maintaining several lists, all hovering around 1,900 subscribers, I was able to stay on the free plan. But we recently surpassed the 2,000 subscriber mark for one of our lists, which made me reevaluate which email marketing service was the best for our needs. After seeking feedback from peers and testing a variety of services, I have found our answer: ActiveCampaign*. Here’s why:
